Good Evening, Journal Goddesses!! I feel like it's been forever since I've posted, but I guess it's only been a couple of days...The weekend was VERY nice, and we had a great time at Aunt&Uncle's anniversary party :) The gals did a GREAT job of putting things together & making it fun for everyone :) I loved watching Princess & FAB play together!! So much fun :)

Anyways, WE HAVE CENTRAL AIR AGAIN!! PRAISE THE LORD!! Our HVAC guy from church was kind enough to come & install it for us tonight :) It's just really starting to cool down, but WOW is it AWESOME!! I love it!! :) And, what a blessing it is to finally have it done!!

We spent a lot of time outside this afternoon. Princess played in her new ladybug sandbox (too cute from Target!!), and was so cute, "Mommy, I made a sand castle!!" was what she kept saying when she'd dump some sand out of her bucket!! LOL So much fun...She also swung on her swing for about 45minutes straight (if not longer) & I got to talk to our neighbors some...She's pg & going in for a C-section in a week, and is kinda nervous about it all...OH, and she knows our OB, Missy!! LOL She actually saw Dr. H's husband for fertility treatment with their 2nd one!! Isn't it a small world? She ended up not going to Dr. H, but said she'd heard a lot of good stuff about her :) I confirmed that it was all true!! :)

We went to WalMart tonight (just me & Princess), and ate at Donald's, then shopped around the garden center for a few things. We needed some potting soil, and I needed a few pots (the CHEAP plastic kind), and just a few miscellanious things...I didn't make my rounds around the store...I wanted to get home & go to bed...but here I still am, up & writing here!! LOL :)

Seriously, I'd better go...it's getting late, and I am actually going to sleep comfortably tonight!! :)

That's SweetiePie!! :) Isn't she adorable!! I can't believe how fast she's grown...although, like Sara said, sometimes they can look even older than they are in pictures somehow...Her Grandma Indy took that picture of her on Tuesday...I just love those socks that look like little dress shoes she's wearing :)

So, I think that was all....wait a minute...I wanted to share this email thing I got from a friend a couple of days ago...it's so funny...

Bar-B-Q

When a man volunteers to do the BBQ the following
chain of events are put into motion:

1. The woman does the shopping.

2. The woman makes the salad, vegetables and
dessert.

3. The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it
on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils
and sauces, and takes it to the man, who is lounging
beside the grill, soda in hand.

4. The man places the meat on the grill.

5. The woman goes inside to organize the plates and
cutlery.

6. The woman comes out to tell the man that the
meat is burning. He thanks her and asks if she will
bring another soda whilst he deals with the situation.

7. The man takes the meat off the grill and hands it
to the woman.

8. The woman prepares the plates and brings them
to the table.

9. After eating, the woman clears the table and
does the dishes.

10. Everyone praises man and thanks him for his
cooking efforts.....(and so they should!)

11. The man asks the woman how she enjoyed
"her night off."

And, upon seeing her annoyed reaction, concludes
that there's just no pleasing some women

MEN!! LOL I have to preface this by saying, I really do love King, and he's my best friend, and all that, but STILL!! LOL :) I'm going a little crazy with our room, and I finally have the gumption, want-to, whatever you wanna call it, to get it done...

I think we're planning on going to the Smokie's after Reunion this year again...it's such a nice time to go, and cheaper than it would be in the summer, so we're going down (I think all of us again, including BB's family, instead of Myrtle Beach, we're goin' to the Smokies...I don't know if you all knew about Myrtle Beach or not...anyways...) So, I'm thinkin' I'm getting a quilt from Lil' Dolly's for our bedroom that will match/coordinate with my wall paper border (which still isn't up, yet, btw...) That's my "BIG" thing I'm searching for this time...Oh, and I think that Daisy, Mom & me (& the babies) are going to Amish country when Daisy's off for recovery from her surgery....

Speaking of her surgery, I guess I didn't share that, huh? Well, Daisy's been having pain in her abdomen/belly area ever since after SweetiePie was born...well, off & on, but it would hit her with a vengence & then just suddenly go away...It was getting to the point where it was recurring so often, that she decided maybe it wasn't just gas...so she went to the dr. & after testing, they've told her it's her gallbladder, and that it's not abnormal for women who've just had a baby to have problems with it, so she's getting it taken out...Now, when? We don't know, yet, because she sees the surgeon today, and I'm assuming they'll set all that up & stuff today, but I don't know that for sure...Anyways, she's been on medication & a very low fat diet the last week & 1/2 or so, and she's feeling OK...She just hasn't really been able to feel "normal" yet, since having SweetiePie, ya know? So, that's what's going on there...So, while she's off (she gets like 4-5weeks off for surgery) towards the end of that, we're going to Amish country for a couple of days with the baby girlies :) (I still refer to Princess as a baby!! I guess I should be saying "Big Girl")

Well, that does it for me, for now...I'd better get a move on & get some of this junk out of my room!! :)

So, insert "Gardner-Wannabe-Blinkie" here LOL I've been tinkering around in the backyard this week, and we finally got my little plants into the ground last night. Bless King's heart, he dug up a circle for me, and that took a while...then he started in the front flower beds while I got to finally stick my precious veggies in the ground. I also put up a little wire garden fence around my garden, not that it'll be much of a deterrant for all those rabbits we've got bouncin' around back there...but, it looks cute, and that's all that matters, right? LOL

Before we got started in the ground, Princess & I went to Lowe's to get that little fencing. I got it for $3!! It was clearenced...I got 2, because I didn't know how much we'd need, and at 3 bucks, I figured it was worth having extra anyways...So, since I spent a lot less than I was expecting to spend on that, I indulged and bought these little words on sticks for the front flower bed!! I LOVE them!! One says "Live" one says "Love" and one says "Laugh" :) Have you seen those words in metal that are white, and sometimes they have glitter on 'em? Well, think those, in a scrollier kind of font & kinda black/coppery looking on a black wroght iron stick :) LOL That's as good as I can describe them!! LOL I really like 'em, and once we get the front flower beds done, I'll take a picture for you!! LOL :)

So, before we even started working on the yard, we grilled out (again...I got King a gas grill for Father's Day, and we've grilled out ever since last Friday night, except for Sunday, Monday, and tonight!! LOL) Anyways, we had kabobs, and they were pretty yummy...some steak, some chicken, and with mushrooms, green peppers, red peppers, and onions...YUUUUUMMMM, we'll have to do that again...and maybe baste them next time with A1 sauce or something, because they were a little dry...still yummy, though :) After we got done with the yard, we went to DQ for a treat, and MAN was it yummy!! It's literally been years since I've been to DQ...it was very good...

So, that brings us to today, I guess...oh, well, we had a great weekend. Saturday, Daisy & BB, and Mom & Dad came over for a late nite grill out...we didn't eat til about 9:30 or so because BB didn't get off work until late, and we wanted to grill out...that was fun :) Then, Sunday, we just kinda hung out, and ended up at Mom & Dad's just chillin' for the evening...Monday I had a friend from church over for lunch, and she brought her 2 kiddos over, and they had a GREAT time playing with Princess in the backyard, and we had a REALLY nice chat & girl time :) Then, Mon. nite, King helped another family from church move some more stuff from their house ( a little misleading, but what're ya gonna do, ya know? He was under the impression they just wanted to move their deep freezer, and it ended up being a bunch of stuff/loads from their garage, mostly big heavy stuff...) BUT, they fed all of us dinner, although late, and they really don't have anyone else to call on, so it's only partly a thing...gotta help when people need it, ya know? Anyways, Tuesday King went golfing & we ate at Golden Corral...and last night was already mentioned!! LOL Tonight is PT practice, and I'm hoping we can try out Fox's Pizza tonight :) They're really good, just an FYI :) And, I think they're the only one around here except for in Enon...

Anyways, that's what's been going on with me...I'm not usually this busy, but it's just been like this...there's always something...I hope you guys are OK, and I'm trying to catch up on the Journal Goddesses, but if I miss something, please don't be offended!! :) I'm just a little anti-computer lately...

Okay, better go...I need to water my veggies for the day :) LOL

I hope you all have had a great Friday!! It's been a pretty good one here at the castle ;) Princess is staying over at Mom & Dad's tonight, and King took me out to dinner & a movie, complete with popcorn. We saw "Failure to Launch" at the Danberry theatre, and before that we ate at TGIFriday's. We weren't impressed. I had ordered a salad with my meal, and we kept waiting & waiting, and then this guy brings out our main meal, and right after him, a lady walks by & says, "Here's your salad." I told her I didn't want it anymore because our main meal was there, and she replies back, smart-alec-like, "Are you sure? You want it to go?" I said back (because her attitude rubbed me the wrong way) "NO. I had wanted that before my meal, and that's why I ordered it." So, they didn't charge me for the salad (you better believe I'd have had words with someone if they had), but our waitress wasn't very cordial after that, and they still charged us for our drinks, even though they messed up...I'm gonna check out their corporate site tonight & see if I can leave a comment there... It wasn't really about the salad, it was about the attitude & lack of apology (real apology, not just "Oh, hehe, I'm sorry." kind of apology, ya know?). They really didn't handle us very well...Makes me mad...

Anyways, after dinner, we went to a movie, and it was OK...the popcorn made it all worth it!! LOL It was kinda cute, but I wish we'd have seen something else...Just My Luck was playing, too, and I wanted to see that...oh, and Benchwarmers...that looks pretty funny...but, like I said, it was all worth it for the popcorn!! LOL

**GRIPE WARNING**Now, King & I just had a fight over the house...he's been very busy with work lately, and hasn't been helping with ANYTHING...In fact, it's like I've got 2 children to pick up after...Our bedroom is a mess because he won't throw any paper with our name on it (which drives me absolutely bonkers!!!!!!!!!!!) away, and it's a "dumping" ground for anything that remotely looks like a bill. I admit, I am totally a pack rat, and have my fair share of junk & stuff, but I look absolutely organized compared to my husband...It's enough for me to want to pull my hair out!!!!!! I just went to throw something away, and he grabbed it out of my hand & said, "That needs to be shredded," and I yelled back, "You don't have TIME to shred anything!!" There is seriously a box, a BIG box, in our bedroom (on his side of the bed) that is "to be shredded." Do you know how long it's been there? Most of those papers are all from either before we moved in, or right around when we moved in...I'm just gonna have to slowly & discreatly let it go behind his back, because it's seriously getting on my nerves...Another thing that's driving me crazy is him doing the laundry...He only "half" does it...I'm lucky if it gets out of the dryer, and even if it does, it sits IN FRONT of the dryer on the floor...So, needless to say, I just had it out with him, and it didn't go over very well...He knows I'm right, I can tell by the way he defended himself, but that doesn't get the stuff out of the dryer...I'm just feeling overwhelmed...There's so much to do to this place, but it seems that no matter how hard I try, it always looks the same, or will look good for an evening, but in 24 hours looks the exact same...I'm really gonna have to consult the FlyLady again...I miss her calmness "You can do it!!" attitude...I'm just too tired to do anything about it right now...**END OF GRIPING**

So, on that positive note (hahaha), I'm gonna get off here & go to bed...I'm sleepy!!

Thursday, June 01, 2006

Well, you can see I've been busy!! LOL I've changed a few things, added a few things...how do you like my cube? It's an acrobatic cube...I thought it was neato!! :)

Anyways, not much going on here...I don't think I'm going to PT practice tonight...Over the weekend, I kinda got a sore/congested throat...I felt fine other than the coughing & junk in my throat...I'm getting over it, I just don't want to hurt anything...take any chances...ya know what I mean...SO, I think that leaves going out to supper with my Mom & Daisy & the kiddos after our hair apt. tonight :) I have got to tell her that I felt like a skinned rabbit last time, and to not cut it so short this time :) LOL I'm really likin' my hair right now...It's at a great length...really, I could probably go another week or 2, but it's easier if I have to take Princess, to go with Mom & Daisy...

SO, that's what's happening tonight!! I'm on Day #2 going to the gym!! YAY ME!! :) No more "I'll go tomorrow's" I've gotta just do it...

Did I tell you that I got a few vegtable plants for a very small garden we're going to plant in our back yard? MIL has a little round patch of garden where she grows her asperagus, and that got me to thinking...I don't need to start out with the whole honken garden in rows, I could just do 3 plants, and go from there if I want!! So, I got a tomato plant, a green pepper plant, and a zucchini plant, and some marigolds to trim it out & keep the rabbits away (Although, from my story yesterday, we may not have to worry about rabbits for a while!! LOL) Anyways, I'm kinda excited, and am ready to plant 'em up...I, myself, don't like tomatoes (I know, I'm weird), but Princess loves 'em, and King, too, and I like salsa, and my friend English gave me the idea of making my own salsa...so I'm looking forward to that!! :)

Well, I'd better go...I have to get ready to go to the hair place...It's all the way in X, so I need to leave in about 30min...
