So, speaking of my Dad's job...I realize that this isn't the greatest of circumstances, and that it will make things tight for my parents for a while, but I can't help but feel a little relieved...I don't know if you all realize just how hard of a labor job they have (he & Uncle FunnyHat). In those previous conversations we've had about watching our parents grow older, I've just felt sick to my stomach thinking of my Dad working himself to the bone (sometimes literally, he's been burned that bad by the hot steel he works with), and have been praying that the Lord remove him from that level of intensity, and "reposition" him somewhere else...Now, I've been praying this because of his health, not because I want them to be poor!! Puleeze!! LOL :) I just worry about him working so hard... Now, there is talk of retraining for some other trade, or going back to school or whatever...Dad's even talked about (I don't know how seriously) going to Sinclair & training as an X-ray tech or something liek that in a hospital...
I really believe it's for the best, especially for their health...that's just my opinion, though...
I don't, on the other hand, think it's right of the company to be doing things like this, though...I think it's terrible that so many of these factory jobs are going over seas to be done...I could delve a little deeper into that, but I don't know enough to validate what I think is happening...But, whatever, wrong is wrong, and right is right. And, they were not right in how they handled things...
Okay, enough "shop talk" (literally!! LOL That's how Dad refers to his workplace, the "shop").
Anyways, I'd better go & get a move on...tonight (as far as I know) is PT practice :) And, King's home to take care of Princess!! :) YAY!! :) So, a "stress-free" practice :)
I'll leave you with a pic of a pic of my & Daisy when we were kids growing up at the time in the house they just bought from my parents :) Oh, and talk about memory lane!! I get deja vu every time I go over to visit them!! It's wild!! LOL We loved that bathroom, because it was big enough for both of us to get dressed for school/church in , and we had a lot of fights & giggles over that counter!! LOL

So sorry about your dad's job. I'll be praying that something better comes along. I know exactly what you mean worrying about your dad and his health! I do the same with mine. Tell Daisy I said HI and I heard she's a natural according to Mac-N-Cheese! Love ya!

I know what you mean about your dad and Uncle Funny Hat and that job. I just hope they find something quickly. Last night your dad told us he is either going to be a brain surgeon or a rocket scientist! I think he would make a great realtor! But it is hard to go to work on straight commission when you aren't used to it.
Well, bottom line is...we know it is in God's hand and it is in His will. So, we just have to have faith that He will provide and wisdom for Poncho and Funny Hat to make the best decisions!

Will be praying for your family. I know that it is hard. My dad got laid off when I was a freshman in college. Just know that God is in control and they have to follow God!

We're praying for you dad and mom...but I know what you mean about this ultimately being for the best...we're definately praying!
Our electricity went out at 9:15...IN THE MIDDLE OF LOST! lol and also I was taping AI...but mom called me with the news about Mandissa...and even though she's had two off weeks...I agree that there are people that should have gone before here...Ace and Bucky come to mind...but at this point their all so good that it will be shocking each week I'm afraid...I've been voting but I haven't been voting for Mandissa (well I did vote for her the week she sang the Mary Mary song just on principle) and really I think it is going to come down to the guys anyway...Chris, Taylor, Elliot and maybe Katharine...lol...that's my final four pick anyway...aren't ya glad I shared?
